Flower Power

Earlier this month, Corey and I took part in a “Singing the Sixties” concert for Vision Academy for the Arts. We were raising money for scholarships for students involved with the arts. The theme was love, peace, and all the fun music that was so much a part of the sixties that we remember.

“Flower Power” was one of the catch phrases of the sixties. Poet Allen Ginsberg advocated that people should give out flowers to soldiers and police while they held peaceful protests against the Vietnam War. Flowers became the symbol for a peace-loving generation.

All You Need is Love
