I’ve been very busy the past few weeks and I’ve taken a lot of photos. However the most target-rich environment for Photography the past month was at the San Diego Comic Con. I’m going to be posting many pictures in my gallery, but I thought I’d give a preview here.

Most of the photos I took at Comic Con were of the Cosplay people who walk around the convention center wearing costumes of their favorite fantasy character or time period. While I didn’t see any truly fabulous costumes, there was some great makeup work and the use of prosthesis as part of the costume. The woman from the Cinema Makeup School was the most impressive makeup job I’ve seen in real life. Her headdress is made from latex and feathers (and possibly a real bird’s skull).

Comic Con had over 125,000 members this year. It filled the convention center, several hotels, and many of the streets near the convention center. With three days at the convention, I only made it to one panel discussion on financing games and several business meetings. The rest of the time, I was taking photos.
